Our Values
Our values are Professionalism, Compassion and Compliance. Everyone who joins the network must be verified and agree to our Values including:
- Respect Cemetery Stakeholders, we respect the responsibility and ownership of the burial authority and their users and Partons. Volunteers and Private Comapnies must have prior permission of the Cemetery and Churchyard owner.
- Leave no trace, we provide online reference material so that Members and Partners are covered by our Public Liability Insurance and understand the risks of being in a Cemetery and how we can all remain compliant and helpful.
- Clarify our Services, the Network is not set up to offer Headstone Restoration, Re-levelling or Re-lettering, we focus on providing a light-touch conscientous service for those who cannot attend a grave in person.
- Member Assessment, Whilst grave tending by its nature is meant to be unobtrsuive, we recognise that there is a responsibility to ensure all members are suitably experienced and trained on the do’s and don’t of Grave Tending; this includes sign-posting people when a headstone is seen to be unsafe or require a professional with BRAMM certified skills.
